My Collection (IX): Gabrielle's S6 Necklace ??/2500

Hello people!

A promise is a promise. Yesterday I reviewed my Gab's S5 necklace, and today it's turn to take a look at my Gabrielle's S6 necklace replica - also sold and distributed by Creation Entertainment.

Full view of the necklace.

This necklace appeared for the first time in the S6 episode "Heart of Darkness", along with the popular red velvet costume that served as Gabrielle's main outfit during the last season. The last appearance of the necklace is in the very end of "A Friend in Need II", when Xena's ghost stands with Gabrielle in their way to Egypt.

As you can see in the close-up pic, this necklace is a bit more complex than the S5 one. Also made of silver, now we have 5 beads instead of 3 - two round silver balls, two wired "flowers" and a leaf shaped pendant (often confused with a heart) in the middle. It's also much bigger.

The cord is similar to the S5 necklace - though this one has the regulable chain missing. It's also very thin and fragile.

The case is the same as well: lined in green velvet, with the Xena WP logo in gold in the inner side of the lid.

Unlike the S5 beads, I believe these beads are actual beads and not casts - making molds for these beads seems more difficult than using than pre-made beads, though I might be wrong.

The edition is limited to 2,500 units worldwide as well - but the number of replicas made seems to be smaller. The highest number I've found is #92, which compared to the almost 600 copies of the S5 necklace makes this replica even rarer. I feel so lucky to have it!

The COA for this necklace is missing as well - and this time I have no clue about the possible number. I have the hunch it's a low number due to the finish - mine weathered with patina, which was made only at the beginning and later one simplified to plain bright silver.

And that's pretty much it. enough talking, it's time for some photos of Gabrielle with this necklace.

Cheers people!

My Collection (VIII): Gabrielle's S5 Necklace 216?/2500

Hey guys!

I hope you all enjoyed the Last Creation Entertainment Xena Con at Burbank this weekend if you were able to attend. I sadly wasn't able to attend, but my hopes lie in the next Paris Con.

Anyhow, let's get to business. Today I bring you photos (and some info) of my newly acquired Gabrielle's S5 necklace replica, sold back in the day by the company Creation Entertainment.

Full view of the necklace.

As I already commented on my Facebook page, I got this beauty along with Gabby's S6 necklace (which I'll review next) and although the mail took ages I'm very very happy they're finally here.

This kind of necklace was worn by Gabrielle/Renée O'Connor from S5 "Chakram" to S6 "The Haunting of Amphipolis". It's made of silver and composed of two oval beads in the sides and one round bead in the middle.

In this last pic you can take a good look at the beautiful patterns on the beads, which due to their tiny size were in fact very rarely seen onscreen. The brown cord is regulable (a nice touch) but very fragile - so I wouldn't recommend anyone to wear it.

The necklace comes in a gorgeous case lined in green velvet that cradles and highlights the necklace quite nicely. The inner side of the lid features the Xena Warrior Princess logo in gold.

It's worth noting that unlike the original prop necklaces worn by Renée, the replica necklaces distributed by Creation Ent don't have actual beads, but casts. A little trick to make the production cheaper and recognizable.

Like all the other Creation replicas, these necklaces were part of a limited edition - 2,500 units worldwide, though that number was never reached. The highest number I've seen is #582. Meaning they are pretty rare (more so considering some must have been broken and/or lost since 2001).

All necklace replicas came with a COA, but I'm afraid this one is missing. However I'm inclined to believe this might be #216. Not a bad number at all! Curious note: the necklaces that were produced later present a dull matt finish instead of the shiny look we see in mine.

I leave you now with some pics of Gab donning her necklace. Enjoy!

Missing my things :)

Hello guys!

I'm traveling for a couple of weeks due to work. These days that my collection is so far way I have it a lot in mind, but at least I have my photos :)

Let me share one of the photos at which I look the most. It's a very recent photo of my Y&Y chakram - nothing special, but I like it quite a lot.

Stay tuned for more updates very soon!

Cheers
